Experience: Minimum 8-10 years experience in the energy sector and particularly, in Power Transmission and Distribution with minimum 3-5 years experience as Civil Engineer or similar.

Required competencies:

· Undertaking technical and feasibility studies as well as site investigations;

· Develop detailed designs;

· Supervising tendering procedures and compiling proposals;

· Managing, supervising and advising as well as visiting contractors on site,

· Planning, scheduling and budgeting of project resources.

· Reviewing and approving project drawings.

· Estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment, labour to determine project feasibility.

· Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety or sanitation standards.

· Adopting all relevant requirements around issues such as building permits, environmental regulations, sanitary design, good manufacturing practices and safety on all work assignments;

· Ensuring that the project proceeds as planed and that the structure is completed on time and within budget;

· Using a range of design computer packages for designing projects, analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, and other topographical or geologic data to plan projects.

· Direct or participate in surveying to lay out installations and establish reference points, grades and elevations to guide construction.

· Test soils and materials to determine the adequacy and strength of foundations, concrete, asphalt or steel. .

Requested skills: Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.

Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.

Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of houses, buildings, or other structures.

Knowledge & hands-on experience on latest software’s/ teachings.

Language: English should be perfect in speaking, writing and reading. Other European Languages, like German, French are of advantage.
